I don't even know what this is about

Do you ever just have an urge to, you know, do something? Like, become a musician, write a best-selling novel, or find a cure for cancer? I get those all the time. Actually, that's how this blog started. I got an urge to start a blog and become one of those super famous bloggers.

Well, I'm not exactly super famous. And to be honest, I've also gotten sloppy when it comes to updating this thing. But I'm trying.

One of my most recent 'urges' has been the urge to cook food. I don't even know what kind of food, just flat out food. There is one problem with this dream: I can't cook.

I'm also too lazy to actually put in lots of the work. So yay me. But hey, I can dream! And you never know. I just might cook a few things that are actually edible.

So I guess the moral of this spontaneous blog post is: Do something. I don't even know. This is really just me rambling but hey, I can go from the motivational speaker angle.

'The world isn't going to get any better if we don't do something about it! Recycle! Plant a tree! We all have the power to make a difference, we just need the will!'

So yeah. Do something. I 'urge' you.

*Dies laughing at own terrible pun.*

Happy Day After Valentines Day!

Well, Valentines Day is now over. And though it may be one of the most material and overrated days of the year, it's always nice to have an excuse to love and eat chocolate. But unfortunately, many people in the world are single on Valentines Day. Here are five things you can do if that's you. 

1. Eat Ice Cream and jam out to sad Taylor Swift songs.

2. Refuse to like photos of people who do have dates on instagram. 

But don't comment mean things, because that's not nice.

3. Watch too much TV.

4. Sleep. All day.

5. Be content because you are a strong independent woman/man who don't need no woman/man.

(There probably aren't that many guys reading this, but still. You don't need a babe to be the rage. ;) )

So, tomorrow's Valentines day! A happy early valentines day to all of ya'll! If I was a good DIY blog owner, I would post some special valentines day post, but I'm not so here's a picture of a heart.

or maybe it's my friends perfume

The stores are selling candies

I hid some I bought in my room.

For I have younger siblings

And you know what they will do?

They'll snag the candy and eat it up

Before I can say, "Yoohoo!"

This happened on Halloween last year

When my mom put our candy on display

She said, "No hoarding it in your room,

So I did the right thing and kept it out here

In the kitchen for my siblings to see

And by the next week, not a piece was left

And they didn't even say merci!

Honestly this poem has nothing to do

with love or Valentines day.

But whatever, who cares, nothing can compare

To the way I'm rhyming, hooray!

Get it? Because cotton balls are soft and they're in a... never mind. It's hilarious.

DIY Phone Case That Anyone Can Make!

So, here's an awesome DIY thing that I attempted to create, I think it turned out pretty well! Of course, a lot of it is just sort of common sense.

A Super Cute Mod Podge Phone Case! (told you I use Mod Podge a lot!)

Supplies:

-Whatever paper you want to use to make it look legit (I used notebook paper)

-Scissors

-A phone case. The type doesn't really matter as long as it's not fuzzy.

-Mod Podge

-A brush to put the Mod Podge on 

-A pencil

-A sharpie

-And exacto knife if you have one. If you don't that's okay!

Steps:

1. Trace the outline of the phone onto the paper so you can see where to cut.

2. Actually cut. I used an exacto knife for the picture hole. It's sort of hard to cut without one, but I'm sure it's possible for people with more scissor-skills than me!

3.  Cover the legit case in Mod Podge.

4. Mod Podge the paper onto the case! For all of you unexperienced with Mod Podge, just place the paper on it and cover it with Mod Podge too like you're going to stick something else on it! (Which you will! :D)

5. Cut out another piece of paper exactly like the first one to put on top of it. Do exactly that, but don't Mod Podge it. Mod Podge the sides, but the Paper actually works best un-Mod-Podged on top, if you get what I'm sayin'.

(I don't have an image for this one, I sort of did this last. I was making stuff up as I went so I forgot to photograph it. Sorry!)

6. Embellish it! Make it amazing!

P.S. You might run into mistakes. But the great thing about this is that they're easily fixed. If you tear your paper...

Make a new one!

If you accidentally rip the paper off the phone case...

Mod Podge another one on! But the blue lines look kind of cool, don't you think?

The point is, you'll make errors. Everyone makes errors. But you can fix it and it'll end up looking...

Welcome to my Blog!

I suppose I may be sending a few mixed signals with the whole 'Mod Podge Collage.' This isn't just a DIY blog (that's 'Do It Yourself' for all of you who are like I used to be and don't really know what that means and don't want to ask) but it is a bit of one. To sum it up, this is a DIY, writing, life hacks, advice, and even just a teensy weensy bit of a fashion blog. This is the sort of a blog where I can post ideas I've had and bits of wisdom I've learned.
But wait. This isn't an everyday blog. Here's why.

1) It is made by a teenage girl who isn't an expert in all things crafty. That means that the DIY projects on here are ones you can actually do. If I can do it, you can do it!
2) It's kind of a mix of everything. If I'm interested in it, you'll probably find it on here. So I'm sorry if you see an overwhelming amount of puns.
3) I can't think of another reason. So yeah, I'm honest.

P.S. You may be wondering, why Mod Podge Collage? I'll tell you why. I use Mod Podge a lot, this is a collage of everything, and I can't think of a better name.
